Tracfone brand – owned by Verizon – offers the well-known Lifeline Assistance provider, Safelink Wireless. As one of the oldest and largest companies that participate, Safelink Wireless provides free or discounted monthly plans to those who qualify.
Customers who qualify and sign up for Lifeline Assistance through Safelink Wireless can receive the following benefits: 10 GB of monthly data; 5 GB of monthly hotspot use; Unlimited talk and text; 3 free months of Amazon Prime for new customers.
The program limits the Lifeline discount to one per household. Although this may be inconvenient for families with multiple adults, the plan can offer significant savings. Plus, you can bring almost any phone to Safelink, which means you don’t need to purchase another device.
Safelink Wireless also has inexpensive upgrades for free plans. Customers can request additional data services and pay the difference between the free and discounted plans.
Like Assurance Wireless, Safelink Wireless is not available in every area. You can apply for Safelink Lifeline discounts if you live in the following areas:

If you are not satisfied with your service, you can switch to a different provider. The Lifeline Assistance program does not limit or trap you into one provider or plan.
