Sometimes people misplace their car registration paperwork. - Download, fill out, and sign an application for registration replacement. You should be able to access the form on your DMV’s website.
The application will ask you to explain why you need to receive a new registration
You will also need to provide identifying information about yourself including your name, address, drivers license number, and license plate number.
- Pay the charge for DMV duplicate registration, this is typically around $20.
- Submit your form online, through mail or go in person to drop off your form at the DMV.
If you have a feeling that your original registration paperwork was stolen you should report this to the police.
